Name: The Butterfly and the Honeybee
About: Hello all!
My name is Jake Gauntlett, I’m an all-sorts pianist, composer, guitarist and singer-songwriter and have been making and exploring music for most of my days, and like all of you I’m sure, want to see us humans reach our true potential and destined harmony with this beautiful planet of ours.
I realised a long time ago that I wanted to change the world – a broad and cliche statement i know, but absolutely integral to the way i live my life, and the way that I can do that is through my music.
Sometime last year, with my wonderful mother for inspiration I picked up the guitar and wrote a song – which later came to be known as ‘The Butterfly and the Honeybee’.
The song, scheduled for release on all platforms (Spotify / Amazon / Apple etc.) on Friday 30th of April, is about my lifelong frustrations with the world, with the way our planet is treated and the disregard for other life.
I ask you take a listen if nothing else, and if something resonates with you, then please do consider dropping me an email – I want to make an impact, but first my voice needs to be heard.
