About: Hey there! We’re reboxed – a London based startup dedicated to tackling the growing problem of electronic waste by transforming attitudes to refurbished tech. We’re on a mission to rehome 100 million devices by 2030 – starting with smartphones.
Millions of mobiles end up going to waste every year, either abandoned in drawers or lying in landfills and all those devices have taken precious earthly materials to make, at great cost to the environment and local communities, not to mention creating a vast carbon footprint.
Our circular business model – rehome, rebox, repeat – isn’t just designed to give our members better value, but make a positive impact on the environment and society.
We’re making it easier to shop or swap refurbished tech with on-demand services and devices you can trust. When you rehome your phone we give you better prices for your devices, saving you money and CO2 when you upgrade to reboxed.
We plant 5 trees every time we buy or sell a device and pay to offset each phone’s lifetime CO2 emissions, which helps to fund a whole range of projects to cut CO2. We’re also B-Corp pending and donate 1% of all our profits to fund environmental projects working to protect our Earth.

The Influencer Campaign
Campaign: Recycle your old phone with reboxed
Brief: Buying and selling used tech has always sucked, but we’re fixing it.
Previously, when selling your phone online you get some generic pricing such as ‘good’, ‘working’, or ‘faulty’. This means you won’t get an accurate price for your phone and you might not sell your phone at all! The problem here is that your phone will end up in the draw for years even though you say to yourself “it’ll come in handy” but what actually happens is eventually it will end up in the bin and committed to waste in landfills.
We believe every smartphone should not just get a second chance, but a third one too.
The Brief:
We’re looking to collaborate with ethical influencers who have an old or used phone they’d like to recycle for cashback. We’d love to receive a piece of video content (e.g. a reel) documenting the process of selling your phone and upgrading to a refurbished one.
Our TechCheck® app, which you can download on iOS and Android recognises that each phone’s story is completely different and not all phones should be graded equally. That’s why you’ll get a unique price for your device and not just something generic. The app will give you a full report on the health of your phone’s insides and outside in minutes.
Once you’ve got your quote, simply arrange a collection, post for free or drop off at a store near you and get paid on the same day we receive it.
If cash ain’t your thing, you can even donate to a good cause or choose to swap for an upgrade.
And because sustainability is embedded in our circular business model, we’ll also plant 5 trees for every phone rehomed – no matter the condition we receive it in. So you’ll be looking after the planet by helping to grow forests and not letting something go to waste.
