OUR STORY
Rachel, our co founder started her herbal journey when she was a little girl collecting leaves for and making potions for insect bites and bruises with her mum and foraging for seasonal berries. Her mum Agnes Beryl was a single working mum of four who also managed to grow all the families seasonal fruit and veg, and it was this special interconnectedness, these moments outside netting raspberries and harvesting gooseberries, that started this love affair with plants and nature.
There was a detour after Rachel’s schooling, an unexpected opportunity to travel the world as a fashion model, living in London, Paris and New York and although incredible modelling and constant travel also brought its challenges with stress, anxiety, and hormonal, adrenal imbalance.
So Rachel started to look to changing her nutrition to better support herself, and to nutritional herbs such as adaptogens which she later went on to write about in her book Super Herbs. She moved from New York back to London to study herbalism and naturopathy, and after qualifying started her private practice and having the privilege of seeing the benefits of using therapeutic herbs daily and from here the seeds of Wilder were created.
Wilder started life with just a few teas and their bestselling Herbal Tranquility Bath Soak a continuation of Rachel’s formulas from her practice and soon Wilder as they engaged with more people and this is when Rachel’s husband Charlie joined the Wilder team to help continue the Wilder philosophy.
