In November 2022, Elma won the Museums Association’s national award for the Museums Change Lives ‘Radical Changemaker’, for her work on the Power of Stories project and tour, which has been helping to tell local Black stories and improve representation.
Elma is also a PR consultant, and has worked with major brands including Comic Relief, the British Red Cross, Land Rover, BT, Sony Music, and Warner Bros. She has more than 25 years’ experience; she has secured stories in titles including The Guardian, The Mirror, Woman & Home, The Sunday Times, The Voice, ITV and BBC News.
