About us: Lola & Mawu is an Africa-centred décor and lifestyle boutique based in the UK. We sell stunning, hand-crafted, unique products for discerning customers who wish to shop sustainably and help African makers keep their traditional skills alive.
We emphasise our ethical approach to business, attention to sustainability and our commitment to artisanal communities and charitable projects. Our brand is vegan.
Lola & Mawu’s mission is simple: the best of African craft and design, cruelty free and fairly traded, brought to your home.
We offer a fusion of intricate crafts, excellent materials, real African spirit, and contemporary style. Our objects are selected first for their aesthetic value and quality, but we never compromise on principles of ethical trade and sustainability. We encourage artisans to up-cycle and use natural resources with care, and we use only recycled and recyclable packaging.
We do everything we can to support artisanal communities and their work. We are also supporting an orphanage in Ghana which brought our founder, Lola, to West Africa in the first place, and dedicate part of our profits to its development.
