About The Brand

Name: another tee

About us: Hi everyone, Elliott here. I’m the project lead on another tee at 20something (20-something.com). We’re a creative company based in London. We wanted to popularise the idea of annually offsetting your carbon footprint, and restoring critical ocean flora. Our philosophy is that mass change is the result of accessible, relatable, repeatable acts. You get nowhere by preaching or punishing. We’ve also found that the most successful charities, nonprofits, and NGOs tend to be beautifully designed first, and mission-led second. So, we made the idea of an annual CO2 offset and ocean flora restoration tangible and visible – we created another tee. It becomes a badge, a signifier between people – “I’m in this fight too”. The entire story of the t-shirt can be found printed on the back of the t-shirt.

another tee offsets the average annual carbon footprint of one European human. It helps provide sustainable employment for villages in the Biak region of Indonesia. (This is where we plant the mangroves). It helps to protect the people of Biak from storm-surges and sea-level rise. These are both linked to the climate crisis. another tee also creates a critical habitat for threatened animal species.

We’re partnered with SeaTrees, a project by nonprofit and plant 24 mangroves for every “One Year” (£39) t-shirt we sell. This offsets the carbon footprint of the average person living in the EU. (7000kg CO2 per capita.) We also sell a “One Life” t-shirt (£3600) which offsets the life carbon footprint of someone creating up to 17,000kg CO2 emissions per year. With each sale of this t-shirt, we plant 4609 mangroves. (Australia has the world’s largest total carbon emissions, coming in at 17,000kg CO2 per capita).

another tee is made only from 100 percent organic Indian combed cotton. It is climate neutral, made in facilities powered by green, renewable energy, from low-environmental impact raw materials. 100 percent of tee production undergoes annual audits to comply with the Fair Wear Foundation code of labour practices. The entire production process is controlled and certified in accordance with the latest version of Global Organic Textile Standard.

We only create our tees when people order them. Whilst this means they take a little longer to arrive on people’s doorsteps, it also means no materials, energy or resources are wasted.

The Social Opportunity

Opportunity: another tee – a 100% organic, unisex t-shirt that offsets the annual carbon emissions of one European human

Brief: We’d love to send you a “One Year” another tee, plant 24 mangroves for you, and have you share it on your social channels. We will happily provide you with a skeleton framework for your captions. But, ultimately, we don’t want to put words in your mouth. It’s your channel. We want any promotion you give us to be in your voice. This is the way we are working with other influencers currently. There is also going to be a big PR push on another tee. So, it’s an opportunity to be involved not just in something big, but that’s good and necessary for the planet.

We plan for the website to go live from Thursday 26th November. So are building everything in the run up to that.

With that in mind, I’m happy to talk or answer any questions you have when you apply.

Thanks in advance to anyone who shows an interest.
