Opportunity Closed: Feature Sustainable Plastic Toothbrush

About The Brand

Name: Reswirl

About us: Reswirl is the world’s only returnable, sustainable, reusable toothbrush and will be launched on Kickstarter in April.

Unlike regular plastic toothbrushes, Reswirl has been made from a sustainable plastic that biodegrades in ambient temperatures, so if it does get thrown away it wont hang around and cause environmental problems for future generations.

Reswirl will be sold on a subscription basis, for two reasons:
1. We’re supposed to replace our toothbrushes every 3 months – that’s a lot of toothbrushes ending up in landfill, or worse, in the world’s oceans.
2. The material used to make the bristles doesn’t currently biodegrade at the same rate as the handle, so the team behind Reswirl wants to encourage you to send your used brushes back, so that the bristles can be removed, ground down and made into new bristles and the handles can be melted down and remoulded into new handles. Old toothbrushes can be sent back using the recyclable packaging that your new brush arrives in.

Reswirl has been designed to give eco-conscious consumers more choice when it comes to alternative single-use plastic options. The number of toothbrushes discarded each year is shocking, so the team at Reswirl wanted to create something that looks like a regular toothbrush and performa like a regular toothbrush, but it much kinder on the planet and the world in which we live.
